1. ARE YOU READY? Things happen! Be prepared.  Have enough food, water emergency cash and other supplies to care for you and your family for up to 30 days.  Recent events in Florida, California and the Carolinas have stretched the Red Cross and FEMA resources to the max.  Should an earthquake or other wide spread disaster strike, YOU become responsible for the first days of your own disaster rescue until government resources are available and as we saw during Katrina those resources may fail you.  I have used this company to start building my long term food supply,
  2. ARE YOU READY? Plan to travel someplace new this year. A long weekend trip or an extended vacation depending on where you are able to go and afford.  Do something fun or see new sights. Missouri has SO MUCH to offer. The trip will help you to push your reset button and this link can help you plan that Missouri adventure.
  3. ARE YOU READY? Be kind to others, even when you don’t feel like it. Examples might include talking with someone not in a group at church, catching up with or getting to know your neighbors.  It’s free and will improve your outlook on life.
  4. ARE YOU READY? Read a book a month on various topics. Mix up fiction and non-fiction books.  Maybe on travels, history, politics, or a bestselling piece of fiction.  Most adults never read a book for fun and deprive themselves the opportunity to expand their world.
  5. Get to know God better. Read the Bible and talk with him (pray). You will gain appreciation for every day He gives you and be prepared for when those days end. ARE YOU READY?
